STOP/RY-GO

Where:
Usually found at roadworks, temporary traffic control points, or single-lane sections of the road where traffic from both directions cannot pass at the same time.

Purpose:
These are two signs mounted back-to-back, one side displaying STOP and the other RY-GO (Ready / Go).
They are used by a traffic controller or flag person to regulate the flow of traffic through the affected area.
The signs indicate whether you must stop or may proceed.

Action:
When the STOP sign is displayed:
Bring your vehicle to a complete stop.
Do not proceed until the sign changes or the traffic controller signals you to move.
Remain alert and keep a safe following distance from vehicles ahead.

When the RY-GO (Ready / Go) sign is displayed:
You may proceed with caution, but only if it is safe to do so.
Drive slowly through the controlled section and be on the lookout for workers, machinery, or obstacles.
Be prepared to stop again if directed by a traffic controller or if conditions change.
